  1. Atlanta Botanical Garden's "Scarecrows in the Garden": Kick off your autumn adventure at the Atlanta Botanical Garden's annual "Scarecrows in the Garden" October 6 - 31 (closed Mondays) event. Local artists and organizations create whimsical scarecrow displays that line the garden's scenic paths each year. It's an excellent opportunity to explore the stunning fall foliage while admiring the creativity of the scarecrow designs.

  2. Stone Mountain's Pumpkin Festival: For a quintessential fall experience, head to Stone Mountain Park for their Pumpkin Festival, happening September 16th through October 29th. This family-friendly event features pumpkin-themed activities, a pumpkin patch, and a picturesque backdrop of Stone Mountain itself. Don't miss the Laser Light Show, which takes on a special autumn theme during the festival.

  3. Netherworld Haunted House If you're seeking spine-tingling thrills and chills, the Netherworld Haunted House is a must-visit. Located in Stone Mountain, this legendary haunted attraction consistently ranks as one of the best in the nation.   4. Chastain Park Arts Festival For a more laid-back and artsy autumn experience, attend the Chastain Park Arts Festival, November 4-5. This outdoor event showcases the work of local and regional artists, offering a wide array of handmade crafts, fine art, and jewelry. It's the perfect place to find unique gifts for the upcoming holiday season.

  5. Find an Oktoberfest Near You Oktoberfest events features a wide selection of German beers, live music, and traditional food.   6. Hound-o-Ween at the City Center in Cumming Get dressed up in your best costume and come out to the Cumming City Center for Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, October 28 from 5 pm to 9 pm! All of the businesses will be festive with fall décor and handing out candy to visitors. The night will feature pet-friendly Trick-or-Treating, pet adoption, pet-friendly vendors, spooky music, arts & crafts (presented by Muse Cabin), and a storefront décor contest for you to vote on!

  7. Atlanta Food & Wine Festival – September 22-24 Enjoy bites and sips from the top chefs from the South at over 50 different tasting stations. This delicious journey through the South’s finest flavors takes place in tasting tents at Historic Fourth Ward Park.

  8. Atlanta Chilli Cookoff – November 4th In its 10th year, the cookoff features some of the best chili recipes from 60+ amaeteur and restaurant teams. Attendees can sample the dishes and vote for their favorite chili. Whether you’re a chili connoisseur or just looking for something fun to do outdoors this Fall, the Atlanta Chili Cook-Off is the perfect outing. If you’ve got a knack for chili, cook registration closes October 1st!

Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade – October 21st & 22nd Known as one of the top 10 Halloween events in the country, the Little Five Points Halloween Festival and Parade takes place in Atlanta’s favorite eclectic neighborhood, Little Five Points (L5P). Featuring a local artist market, live music, a parade, a 3D haunted house, ghost tours, and more! Definitely noteworthy of your calendar and an event with a little something for everyone.   10. Last but not least, the classic Corn Maze and Pumpkin Patch A fall classic and in my humble opinion, completely necessary. Enjoy the weather and have a little fun in your classic corn maze.
