10 Holiday Events Throughout Atlanta

It’s that time again! It’s hard not to love the holidays, even the Grinch would attend these metro Atlanta holiday events.

  1. Trans-Siberian Orchestra - The Ghosts Of Christmas Eve In full transparency, I’ve actually never heard of the Trans-Siberian Orchestra until this year. But let me tell you, I have yet to hear a bad thing. I bought tickets to an upcoming show and I hope you do too!

  2. Experience the Season at the Georgia Aquarium The aquarium does an amazing job of keeping up with the holidays and the winter season is no different. They’ve got plenty to choose from: holiday lights, scuba Santa and more.

  3. The Nutcracker at the Fox Theater (Every Saturday until 12/26/2023) A classic and must see, especially if you’ve never been to the Fox Theater!

  4. Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer at the Center for Puppetry Arts (12/6/23 - 12/31/23) Another classic and let's be honest, family favorite.

  5. A Christmas Carol at the Alliance Theatre (2/6/23 - 12/24/23) A classic holiday story, watch as Ebenezer Scrooge goes on a Christmas journey toward redemption with beautiful live music and an all-star cast.

  6. IllumiNights & Elf Power at the Zoo (12/6/23 - 1/14/23) IllumiNights is a Chinese lantern festival, a mile-long stroll of wildlife in the holiday spirit. Every corner of the zoo is decorated, and this year Zoo Atlanta added ‘Elf Power,’ a virtual reality ride for IllumiNights attendees.

  7. Holiday Bars I’ll say, the pickings seem a little slim this year. But once again, The Atlanta Eater did a full breakdown of where to party like an elf this season!

  8. The Rink AT Park Tavern (12/15 - 12/30) Park Tavern in Piedmont Park is back another year with its ice rink and holiday bar!

  9. Want more lights and less crowds? Here’s a list of 11 light shows throughout Atlanta

  10. Atlanta Christkindl Market Imagine you’ve been transported to a traditional German holiday market! Hosted at The Buckhead Village District, the Atlanta Christkindl Market is one of a kind with authentic food and shopping. Admission is free.
